Is it permissible for a man who has traveled far from his wife, or if he has not but she is menstruating to fulfill his desire sexually by thinking about her? Does this require her permission, and what is the proof?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Yes, it is permissible for a man to think of his wife by bringing to mind aspects of her that arouse his pleasure and imagine that he is making love to her. This does not require her permission because if he is permitted to make love to her, then it would a fortiori be permitted for him to think about her”

However, it is unlawful for him to perform any unlawful action therein, such as masturbation.
