If a non-Muslim guest comes to my home during the day in Ramadan, can I give him something to eat or drink?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

From amongst our imams, what Imam al-Ramli has said, is that it is haram to give food to a non-Muslim who is morally responsible during the day in Ramadan, as he narrated from Al-Sharqawi in his Hashiya Sharh al-Tahrir (2:14). This is based on that fact that in our school, non-Muslims are accountable for details of the Shariah, and they will be punished in the Afterlife for leaving them. So upon this, giving them food in the day in Ramadan would be assisting them in disobedience and this is haram.
