Quran and Tasbeeh falling on the ground

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. If the Quran or Tasbeeh falls on the ground, is it correct to kiss it to show respect to it?

A. If the Quraan or Tasbeeh falls on the ground, it should be immediately picked up and kept in a respectable place.

It is permissible to kiss the Quraan or Tasbeeh as a token of respect. However, it is not compulsory to do so. It is simply an expression of respect and love which is obviously the correct thing to do.  (Shaami)
