Is it bad to lie on stomach and sleep?

Is it true shaytaan does something to you while you sleep if you sleep lying on stomach?

What is the sunnat way to sleep and is it true that the sunnat way has also been scientificaly proven?

Answer

It is a bad habit to lie on the stomach. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam saw one sahabi, Hazrat Ibn Umar radhiyallahu anhu lying in the masjid on his stomach. Upon seeing this, the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam reprimanded him and said, “ﺿِﺠﻌﺔ أھلِ النارِ”, that this is the way the people of Jahannam lie.

It is not true that the shaytan does something to a person while he sleeps on his stomach.

In addition, it has scientifically been proven that it is healthier for the heart if one sleeps on the right, because there is less pressure on the heart; therefore the blood flow remains normal.
