I had a question regarding ablution, the problem i have is that during ablution, i am not able to take in water into the nostrils, maybe its because i have sinus and my nose is usually blocked or for whatever reason, i keep trying but it maybe it only goes into one and not the other
And i’ve really been wondering if my ablution is valid since i’m not able to do what is required
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,
I pray that this finds you well, and in the best of health and spirits. May Allah grant you all good and success in this life and the next.
There are two important things:
(1) Allah does not make us responsible for more than we are genuinely able. He tells us in the Qur’an, “God charges no soul save to its capacity.” [Closing verse of Surat al-Baqara]
(2) It is a sunna–not obligatory–to wash one’s nose in wudu. Leaving a sunna doesn’t affect the validity of one’s action. Please search SunniPath Answers (http://qa.sunnipath.com) for related answers.
