Discharging zakaat after one’s zakaat date

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

Q: A person every year gave zakat in the month of Ramdhaan (up to 2011). Last year (in 2012) he gave zakat in the month of zulhijjah or Muharram. When will zakat be due for this year(2013)?

A: If his zakaat date is Ramadhaan, then zakaat will be due in the month of Ramadhaan even though he discharges it later on.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
