What type of Footwear should a Person wear in Ihraam?

A: In the state of Ihraam it is necessary that the upper portion of the foot be exposed i.e. from the place where the shoe-lace is normally tied up to the ankle.

N.B: The above-mentioned law applies to males. As far as females are concerned, it is permissible for them to cover their entire feet.
