Taking an oath that one will become a kaafir if one commits a certain action

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If I take an oath of disbelief by using the word “whenever”, will I become kaafir whenever I do that particular thing or only once? Example if I say, “Whenever I do a particular thing I will become a kaafir”.

Bismillaah

A: Try your best to avoid doing that work. Don’t ever do it deliberately.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
