Being in need of a fardh ghusal while travelling on an areoplane

Q: I needed to make fardh ghusal during a flight and I could not do ghusal. I could not find anything to do tayummum with. I made wudhu and prayed. Was that right or what should I have done?

Bismillaah

A: The wudhu was not sufficient to purify you. After the ghusal, the salaah performed will have to be repeated.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
