Making dua for non-Muslim deceased parents

Q: If your parents are non-Muslims and they died, can I make dua for them? I Am a Muslim.

A: If they passed away upon disbelief, it is not permissible for you to make dua for them.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
