What does “opening the chest” mean?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Hadhrat Musa (alaihis salaam) prayed to Aallah: Rabbish rah li sadri. Allah Ta’ala says to Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam): Alam nashrah laka sadrak. Here the main point is to open the chest. So please tell me what is the exact meaning of opening of chest?

Bismillaah

A: The opening of the chest is like us saying the mind is clear. So when the mind is clear you will have no reservation or doubt and you will have the strength and motivation to do what is required.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
