Being involved in a haraam relationship with a Hindu woman

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I am from New Zealand and I come from a strict Muslim family. I am 27 years old male and I am the only child. My partner is Hindu and we are looking to settle down and buy our first house. My partner is willing to convert and learn more about Islam if we are to get married. My mum & dad disapprove and keep saying it is not islamic for her to convert and get married. He says the community will look down on him and his reputation will be damaged even though his friends sons have married non muslims as well I have tried talking to my parents but i cannot convince them nor can any family friends. i want to move out and do my own thing but i dont want to leave the house where parents are upset but i need to think about myself as well. I want to be happy too and there is no way both sides will be happy. I am not happy to go ahead with an arranged marriage to a muslim especially someone i dont know. My current partner i have known for more than 10 years. What do you suggest i say to my parents? Do you believe my parents disapproval is acceptable ? What is the best solution here ? Please help.

Bismillaah

A: You rather obey your parents.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
