Q: Is masturbation allowed in Islam? Is it necessary for a male and female to take a bath after masturbation?
A: It is not permissible for a male or female to take haraam pleasure from one’s body (through masturbation, etc). If one had masturbated and semen had come out, then ghusal will be waajib. Similarly one should make taubah for committing this sin.
