What is the status of this narration?
يأتي على الناس زمان يكون هلاك الرجل على يد زوجته وأبويه وولده ، يعيرونه بالفقر ويكلفونه ما لا يطيق ! فيدخل المداخل التي يذهب فيها دينه فيهلك
Answer
Imam Khattabi and Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahumallah) have recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhuma). ‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahullah) has declared both the versions weak.

Translation
A time will come upon the people wherein the destruction of a man will be due to his spouse, parents and children. They will condemn his poverty and burden him with things he is unable to do. He will then do such things which will cause him to lose his Din and be destroyed
