Only accept from credible sources

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

I do not know much of Darul Hadith Research Centre. I enjoy the emails I receive, I learn a lot from them and may Allah reward you, amin. I wanted to know if it is all trustworthy information?

As you know, today especially, one can’t just follow anyone and you don’t even know who you are following. Maaf, I don’t mean to offend anyone.

Answer

I applaud your good intention and appreciate your kind words. You have not offended.

As a rule, -as you have correctly noted- one should only accept information from a known credible source.

If a source is unknown to an individual, one should enquire from others who might know the source to be credible, or otherwise.

As far as Darul Hadith Research Centre is concerned, you may read more about it, it’s services, founder, Ameer and staff on our website: www.DarulHadith.co.za

I am not in favour of self praise/introduction, unless extremely necessary. Therefore I have answered with the above.

Furthermore, whenever you are in doubt about a source, you may also enquire from your local ‘Alim.
