Knot in Hair and Validity of Wudhu and Ghusl

Assalamu alaykum,

If one performs ghusl in the morning and prays Fajr. Later on he notices during playing with his beard one knot in just one of his beardhairs.

Is his ghusl, wudhu and thereby also his salaat valid ?

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

If the knot prevented water from reaching between and under his beard, the ghusl will be incomplete. Thus, those prayers which he performed after this ghusl will have to be repeated.

ويجب على الرجل إيصال الماء إلى أثناء اللحية كما يجب إلى أصولها وإلى أثناء شعره وان كان ضفيرا كذا في محيط السرخسي (الفتاوى الهندية – ط. دار الفكر – (1 / 13)
