Assalamualaikum wa rahamatullahi wa barkatahu
May allah subhanu wa taala reward you with all that is good in this world and the hereafter.may he have mercy on you and your family. May he continue to shower his blessings upon you.
Aameen
Someone told my father to recite darood shareef 3 times at the beginning
Say this “Wallahul musta anu alaa ma tasifoon”
11 times (could you please translate what this means as well)
And end with saying darood shareef 3 times
Then make an alif with the forefinger from the forehead towards the nose on the face
This is to be done for protection of reputation and maintainability of respect among the kafirs
Is this authentic and should this be done?
Answer
Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
This is not established from Hadith. Rather, someone practiced it, and found it to be beneficial.
Since it is a combination of a Quranic verse and Durud, it will be permissible to practice on this, with the following conditions:
- You do attribute it to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) or his honourable companions,
- You do not impose it upon others,
- You do not look down upon one who does not do this.
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best
Wassalaam,
