Question:

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu respected Admins. An urgent question. A sister has eye pressure and she is fasting. Usually, she takes eye drops when she goes to sleep. Now she is fasting and her eyes are watering and are under pressure.  Can she have eye drops? Will that invalidate fast?

Answer:

It is permissible for her to have eye drops whilst fasting. Eye drops do not break the fast (Fatawa Rahimiyyah p.246 v.5 Darul Ishaat).
