Is it allowed to name a mosque after a deceased person?

If some donates an land for an mosque can this mosque be named in memory of person who has died.

Answer

(Fatwa: 877/877=M/1429)

The mosque name can be named after the waqif (endower). In the abovementioned case, it is better to choose a better name with mutual advice.
