Recently in our masjid, they have started using echo in the mike. This is causing a lot of distraction for me in salah as the sound gets repeated towards the end of an ayah, e.g. if Imam said, Tawwaba, it will end as Tawwaba ba ba … Please let me know specifically the permissibility of using echo during salah. I am not concerned with the use of echo outside of salah for some other programs.

The detail of ‘echo’ which you provided suggests that it should not be used in salah, it shall make the salah makrooh as it creates the eco and causes disturbance as well. It should be avoided in salah.
