In our mosque an illegal electricity connection was made due to high cost. Is this permissible?

Assalamualaikum, In our mosque an illegal electricity connection was made as due to air conditioners charge there is so much electricity bill. The bill is nearly or quite impossible for us to pay.What should we do now according to shariah???

The answer to your question is as follows:

Using illegal electricity connection is not allowable in shariah, hence either the people should pay the electricity bill or switch off the air condition if they are unable to pay the bill.
