I have given talaq-e-Raj’e to my wife, how should i be towards her during iddat?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Assalam Alaikum Imam Sahib I have given my wife one talaq (Talaq-e-Raj’e). i just want to know the ruling on the iddat. I have come to learn that the prescribed time period is 3 mensturation cycles while others state the entire process takes 3 months. I live in a studio apartment. Could you also tell me what should my conduct be with my wife during iddat? (as in the distance in attitude) If we desire reconsiliation during this time, should we wait till just before the iddat expires or may i take my wife back anytime before that. What are the conditions of taking her back? Also would u please shed light on our conduct towards each during the iddat. Also the restrictions that my wife must take care of, that is, can she go out?, can she wear any sort of makeup?, can we have male guests at home (as in friends with their family)? please guide us. Jazakallah khairun
