I wish to know / be clear more about the Zakkat, kindly guide me on following queries
GOLD if we have > 100 gms (is there any amount to be deduct from the total gold to pay zakat)
bank deposits (changing every year, not fixed for whole year, spared from daily expanses)
> 3 homes (personal residential purposes, not for business)
Rental outcome (spared from daily expanses)
Near relatives for zakat..if he is not earning sufficient amount to support his family, but he has motor cycle , one flat + daily earnings which is not equal to his daily expanses
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
(1) If your gold jewellery is 87.48 grams and one year has passed over the jewellery from the time it was given to you, then you have to give 2.5 percent of the value of the jewellery as Zakaah.
(2) Zakaah is due on the money deposited in the bank. Zakaah will be given on the total amount at the end of the Zakaah year.
(3) Zakaah is not due on personal homes.
(4) Rental payable is deducted from your Zakatable assets.
(5) If your relative does not own wealth equivalent to nisaab, then he is eligible to receive Zakaah.
In that instance, it will be more rewarding to give your Zakat to your relative.
Your query is not too clear, if you intend more detail, kindly re-send your email to admin@daruliftaa.net– Ref: Muhammad
You may refer to Fatwa #17114 for a detailed explanation on Zakaah.
