Assalumu alykum wa rahmatullahi Wa Barkatuh,
Alhamdulillah, my nephew was born very weak at the end of 7th Month and weighed only 950 grams. He is placed in the incubator from the time of the birth and his growth is improving day by day Alhamdulillah. The Doctor has adviced to keep the baby in the incubator/hospital for a month.
Today is the 7th day of his birth as he was born on last friday. Till now, we did not keep his name and nor could we give the azaan in his ears nor could we taste him some dates with Honey.
I had learnt that, as per sunnah that we have to keep the name on 7th day (today) and perform Haqeeqah (by scrificing 2 lambs and removing the childs hair and give sadaqah to the poor by weighing the Hair) and circumcision. The baby is still in Mothers place @ the hospital and not in our parents house.
With all the above issues, r we allowed to keep the name or do Haqeeqah?
Please guide and advice..

We apologize for the much belated response.
It is also permissible to name the new born immediately after birth and before the aqiqah. It is not necessary to delay the naming of the child until the aqiqah,[i]
The aqiqah may be delayed and performed every subsequent seven days after the seventh day. For example, fourteenth, twenty first, twenty eight, etc.[ii]
