Orange clothes permitted for women

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Abu Usamah

Are orange clothes allowed or not for women, due to its association with Buddhist monk colours..?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Al-Salam `alaykum

It is permissible for women to wear clothing of any colour . Bright, attractive colours should however be avoided in public. If orange clothing in a certain place is characteristic of Bhuddists such that when a person wearing orange is seen it immediately gives the impression that this person is most probably a Bhuddist then this colour should be avoided. Otherwise it will be permissible to wear orange also.
