I smoke cannabis every day and am getting married soon: Will my nikah count?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

Smoking cannabis is haram, and one must stop it or at least take the proven means to be able to stop it, because the means to being able to avoid the prohibited are obligatory to take.

However, this does not in any way relate to the validity of one’s marriage.

And Allah alone gives success.
