The Gelatine Issue: Halal or Haram?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can you please advise me on the gelatine issue. Some people say that gelatine made from an animal which is non-halaal undergoes a transformation and none of the animal remains in the final product; therefore it is safe to consume. I am very confused on this issue and my biggest problem is the beacon products which my husband consumes and I don’t. He says that if it is certified halaal by MJC then we should trust them.

The Gelatine Issue: Halal or Haram?

A: It will be better if you refer to SANHA.
