Listening to one’s parents with regards to marriage

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I just wanted to know if a girl is pious, has good character and is from a good home, but she is not from the same caste (surti and non surti), is it a good enough reason for my parents to not allow me to marry her?

Bismillaah

A: To avoid confusion, trouble, and fights we will advise that you obey your parents.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
