Divorcing Pregnant Wife: Islamic Teachings and Solutions

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: First time I gave a single divorce to my wife. But we made ruju. After six months I divorced her again and this time I said to her three times that I divorce you. She is pregnant now. What should we do now? What is the Islamic teaching regarding this issue? Will it be considered as whole divorce or just second one. Is it possible to make ruju or something else? Help us please.

Bismillaah

A: All the talaaqs are valid. Since you have already issued three talaaqs, the nikaah has terminated. It is no longer possible for you to take her back into your nikaah unless halaala takes place.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
