Calling a Person a Kaafir

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mahmoodiyah

Question:

Q1-What is the sin  and punishment mentioned in Hadith for calling a person Kaafir when his not a Kaafir?

Q2-Is it Sunnah to wear the Izaar first or the Kurtaa?

Q3-What is the Masnoon Du’aa to be recited if there is a earthquake or an earth tremor?

Answer:

  1. It has been narrated by Abu Zar (R.A.) that Rasoolullah (S.A.W.) said:  “Whosoever calls a man a Kaafir or an enemy of Allah and he is not so then what he said will be returned to him.”  (Mishkaat, Page 41, Hadith 4600)
  1. We have not come across any Hadith or text of the Fuqahaa as to which of the Izaar or the Qamees should be worn first.  However, it would be better to wear the Izaar first as it is Astar (more effective in covering the Satar).
  1. We have not come across any Masnoon Du’aa to be recited at the time of an earthquake.
