Can Aqiqa be performed with money paid instead of animal in Shenzhen, China? Criteria for buying animal for Aqiqa?

Assalamoalaekum
I am liviing in Shenzhen China. Allah has blessed me with a son here. I want to do his Aqiqa, it not convenient to find animal for Zabeeha in normal days. Can I do it in the form of money paid to some reasonable place? What is the amount of money to be paid for it if it is jaiz. Is there any citeria for buying animal for aqiqa. Look forward for your kind guidance.

Doing Aqiqa is such an act which is Musthahab (Praiseworthy) to do on the 7th 14th or the 21st day of the child’s birth. And it’s connection is only with slaughtering of an animal. If it is not convenient to reach for an animal in a particular place or if there are some other temporary helplessness this could even be postponed. However it is possible and permissible too, to perform this Musthahab act through a reliable person or an institution if one wishes so.
