Assalamu Alaikum
Muhtharam Janab, My question is that a person brings an animal for Qurbani and if the animal gets lost, or die due to some reason or becomes wounded, what should he do in case he is unable to buy an animal again? And what is the ruling if the person can afford to buy another animal again? Wassalam

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

In the event of death, getting lost or being injured of the animal after being purchased for Qurbani, it is necessary to purchase an animal afresh and offer the Qurbani if he is a rich person, and, offering the same injured animal in Qurbani is sufficient for the un-wealthy person whereas it is necessary to purchase another animal and offer the Qurbani in the event of lost or getting injured for the un-wealthy person as well.
