Is this Hadith reliable?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Hasten to perform Hajj -meaning the obligatory Hajj- for none of you knows what will happen to him”
Answer
Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) with a weak chain.
(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 1 pg. 314)
However the Hadith is sufficiently corroborated and is suitable to quote.
Imam Hakim and Imam Tabarani have recorded a supporting narration.
