Are the narrations concerning the burial place of Nabi ‘Isa (‘alayhis salam) authentic?
Answer:
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has classified the following narration as sound (hasan).
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah Ibn Salam (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says:
‘ The description of Muhammad and ‘Isa (‘alayhimas salam) is recorded in the Tawrah and Isa Ibn Maryam will be buried with Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)’
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3617)
Note: The above Hadith is recorded as the statement of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah Ibn Salam (radiyallahu ‘anhu) and should be quoted as such.
A similar statement has also been recorded from the famous Tabi’i Sa’id Ibnul Musayyab (rahimahullah).
