The Habahshis Movement

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by

Q. What is your opinion on the Movement known as the Habahshis which originated in Lebanon by a Shaykh Abdullah Hariri? Can they be considered Ahlus Sunnah wal Jammah?

A. Based on the opinions and teachings of this group, many of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah have considered them to be deviated. Some of their views oppose the teachings of the Ahlus Sunnah, and hence, cannot be viewed as true upholders of the doctrine of the Sunni Muslims.

And Allah knows best.
