Assalaamu Alaikum,
Will it be considered haraam to work for a financial lending institution that issues loans for personal use, e.g. vacations, if one is working as part of the human resources team?

A financial lending Institution will normally lend money on interest even though it may be for personal use. Working in such a place is working for an interest based Institution where it deals in interest; it promotes interest, and it demands people to pay interest, and this is haram (unlawful). Hence, working in such an Institution is haram.
