Question

Is keratin hair treatment permissible and will the wudhu and ghusl be done?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer

If the keratin is penetrating into the hair projecting beyond the skin and forming a barrier for water to reach the hair then the wudhu and ghusl will be incomplete. It is on this basis that scholars give the verdict of non-permissibility. If the product did not contain such substances that prevent the water from reaching the hair then it will be permissible.
