Is basa fish permissible to eat?

Answer:
The basa fish is a type of catfish. (https://youngsseafood.co.uk/species/basa/)
According to the Hanafi school, the only seafood that is halal is Samak (everything from the fish family).[1]
The catfish also belong to the fish family; therefore, it would be permissible to eat catfish such as basa fish.
