Is it safe for my 6-year-old daughter to learn to cycle?

Assalaam Alaikum Wa rahmatullah hi wa barkatuhu, Is it ok to allow my daughter who is 6 years old to learn cycling? She likes to use it to go to her arabic classes within the colony. Wassalaam.

Answer

(Fatwa: 167K/14K=1431)

It may be allowable in childhood as play and game, but after 9 of age when she is mature and starts attracting the gaze of non-mahram men, cycling is not lawful for her.
