Alhamdulillah, Allah blessed me with Girl Child I Named her as Maryam, Some people told whoever named maryam she face lot of problems in her life. i know this is baseless words.what is your advise on that? 1.Some given gifts to my child like, Teddy Bear toy.Whether it is acceptable.whether angels came home. 2.Whether my small 3 months child wear half cut dresses. is it acceptable in view of shariah. 3.We are staying in Non-Muslim Home as rent, they already fixed their one god statue picture in ceramic tiles in the home . we are fear that, if we close that, they create problem. what is the masla for the same? its urgent… Jazakallah-Khair.

You are right. These are baseless talks. The name Maryam is very good and blessed one. You can keep this name without any hesitation.
It is forbidden to keep the picture of living beings inside house, because it prevents the angels of mercy to enter in house. Do not accept such gifts which contain pictures.
(2) It is allowed for the girls provided the dress is not exclusively worn by people any particular religion and it is meant for comfort and easiness not for fashion.
(3) If it falls in your residential part (i.e. the part that is in your use) then you can stick a paper on it or any flowery sticker. Convince the owner if he has any objection.
