Q: Please advise: in the Majlis latest edition, it was stated that all Rainbow products, even though certified halaal, are not permisible to consume. Can you provide some input?
A: There are many great and reliable Ulama who have endorsed the halaal status of Rainbow chickens and its like, hence technicall, if you see the stamp of any reliable halaal certifying body it would be acceptable to eat it. However, because of the reservations of many reliable ulama as well, the more cautious option would be be to abstain as this is in keeping with the requirement of taqwa.
