Permanent Hair Removal

Q: Is permanent hair removal (laser hair removal) permissible or haraam? I know that plucking of the eye brows is not allowed but I was told that removal of other hair on the body is allowed, but permanently removing it is this permissible? Also what about using beauty products that lighten the natural colour of one’s skin is this allowed?

A: Wherever the shariat has allowed a person to remove his/her hair he/she can permanently remove it.

Usage of the beauty products are also permissible.
