Q: Can Muslims eat pig meat (pork)?
A. The pig and all its parts and components are ‘Najisul Ayn’. Thus, no part of the pig may be consumed. Allah Ta’aala says in the Holy Qur’aan: “It (the pig) is filth” (Surah 6, verse 145). This verse proves that every part of the pig is filth and Haraam for consumption.
