Four rakaats before Zuhar salaat have the same reward as the four rakaats of Tahajjud? Also, Imam serve as sutra.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Q1. There is a hadith in connection of namaaz in Fazaaile Amaal , (virtues of salaat part 1a pg28…hadith no.33) which says that four rakaats before Zuhar salaat have the same reward as the four rakaats of Tahajjud.. Which four rakaats does this refer to? Q2. If two to three people are praying namaaz behind a person, he can be a sutra for one person, can he use his hand as sutra for other persons to enable people to pass?

Answer

1. The four Rakaats referred to are the four Rakaats (Sunnat-e-Muakkadah) before Dhuhr Salaat.

2. The Imaam will serve as a Sutra for all his followers.
