Do I need to say Allahu Akbar when making sujud tilawah? (Hanbali Fiqh)

Answered as per Hanbali Fiqh by HanbaliDisciples.com
Q: Do I need to say Allahu Akbar (make takbirat) when making sujud tilawah?
A: Yes. You need to make the takbir before prostration (it’s recommended to raise your hands) and after saying Subhan Rabbi al-Ala while prostrated you make takbir again to rise up. It is is performed like this both in and outside of prayer. If you make this prostration outside of prayer, after the 2nd takbir you rise to the sitting position and must make at least one taslim (saying as-salamu ‘alaykum). Sujud Shukr is done the same way.
