Semiconductor shares

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Since I joined a German semiconductor company, they granted me a number of share options. I did not payed the options price. The rules of the company are:

When i sell the options i will get only the diffrence between sell and grant price.

When the sell price is lower than grant price i will not pay anything.

I have to sell the opttions qithing 6 years from grant date else I will loose them.

Now the options price are high, is the money I make Halal?

If not am I allwed to spend it on someone surgery?

Your questions are unclear. According to our understanding, your company has given you share options to sell. If you make a profit, you will be entitled to the profit. Confirm our understanding and also explain in detail what shares were given to you to sell, what the other options are and how your company works.

You may forward your clarification to admin@daruliftaa.net.
