Reading the sunnats of Esha and witr after midnight

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I normally read the esha prayers at the masjid and then come home and delay the sunnah and 3 witr until after midnight. Is it okay to read it so late? If not what is the latest time it can be read?

Bismillaah

A: You may read the sunnats immediately and if you are confident that you will read the witr later you may postpone it.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
