There is no Sin in Naming One`s Son “Milad”

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Darul Iftaa Jordan
Is it forbidden for a Muslim to name his child "Milad" (Birth/Christmas)?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

From an Islamic perspective, the name "Milad" isn`t abominable since , in Arabic, it refers to the time of one`s birth.

In conclusion, there is nothing wrong with this name and there is no need to change it. And Allah the Almighty knows best.
