Menses Ending at Work and the Question of Ghusl

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mathabah.org

Question:

If a woman becomes pure at work or school, and is not able to get home in time to make ghusl (ritual bath), should she make tayammum (dry ablution)?

Answer:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Jazāk Allāh Khayr/ Thank you for contacting Mathābah Institute.

All efforts should be made to talk to the principal of the school and or the employer regarding far prayers, under the freedom of religion context. In the described scenario, you can take permission to leave early so you can perform the ghusl and pray on time. Performing the prayer with tayammum in the mentioned situation, would require the prayer to be repeated once ghusl is performed.  (See: Al-Fatāwā Al-Hindīyyah, Vol 1, Page 28, Dār Al-Fikr)[1]

Only Allāh knows best.
