Using Moderation in Rinsing the Nose During Ghusl

Question: When I make ghusl I sniff water into my nose and then back out again three times and each time I also clean out my nose using my fingers, ensuring all mucus is removed. I use the mirror to check that there is no mucus left however after doing all of this three times I sometimes see a tiny bit of mucus (it looks like mucus) in the nose, I try to remove it using my fingers and even a tissue but it cannot, it only makes my nose bleed a tiny bit however the mucus doesn’t move. In this situation is my ghusl valid if I just leave it. Or should I rinse my nose again until it is removed (even though I have rinsed my nose three times already).

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray that you are in the best of health and faith, insha’Allah.

Wash your inner nose thrice, and use your finger to clean it.

This is sufficient. You do not need to check anything after doing the above, and ignore any baseless misgivings.

Do not use a mirror to check or tissues to reach further inside your nose, and certainly don’t make anything bleed. The religion is ease, and none makes it difficult except that it overwhelms them.
